Reed Learning is one of the UK's leading providers of training and development services. Part of the Reed family of companies, we have been delivering top quality learning services since 1995. In the last 10 years we’ve trained over 250,000 people, including 20,000 new managers, 12,000 who were scared of doing presentations, and 14,000 who needed to learn to prioritise.

What we do

Scheduled Courses

We run over 250 different open courses at venues all over the UK, and every year we help over 20,000 people become more effective in their jobs. Our courses teach people to be more confident and capable, whether in presenting to a group, analysing a balance statement or deciphering a Google Analytics report.

In-house Programmes

We design and deliver in-house training programmes to over 1,000 organisations each year. We provide expert support at every step of the process, from inception through delivery and evaluation, to ensure our clients get training that gives their organisation the maximum benefit.

Training Management and Outsourcing

Our experience of managing large L&D services helps our clients run training more smoothly. We help find the most efficient ways to schedule, manage and administer courses. Our managed services eliminate training design and process duplication and typically reduce clients’ L&D costs by around 30%.

How do we deliver training that drives results?

All of Reed Learning's courses are delivered in an active and engaging way to help delegates create real change. We use a robustly-designed and independently-accredited competency framework to ensure each course is delivered in a way suitable to a variety of learning styles. Our mix of theory, roleplay, practice presentations and innovative exercises ensure delegates take away as much as they can from each day. All of our courses follow our Do-Review-Learn-Apply Model:


How do we measure results?

We have a robust, independently-accredited evaluation system to maximise the benefit to every delegate who attends a course with us. This system reaches up to level three of Donald Kirkpatrick's evaluation model.

It works like this:

  • Two weeks before their course every delegate is sent a course-specific questionnaire, and asked to assess their existing knowledge on a numerical scale against key learning points
  • At the end of the course each delegate is asked to assess their learning, set an action plan and objectives and rate their trainer in line with our Training Competency Framework
  • After eight weeks we contact the delegates and ask them to rate their knowledge of the key learning points again. They’re also reminded about the goals they set in their action plan, encouraged to complete them, and asked how their behaviour has changed

We compare the post-course and pre-course data to see how delegates feel they’ve improved. On average our delegates feel their skills have improved 60% after attending one of our courses, and 79% of the delegates that attended our courses have changed their behaviour based on the goals they set in their post-course action plans.
