Playing to strengths

There are always considerable pressures on head teachers and governors to raise standards and achievement. The LTA is committed to lightening this administrative and managerial burden, so that schools can focus on their primary educational objectives.

Quality service

The primary aim of the LTA is to supply high quality, trained teachers to schools in Lancashire. The very highest standards of service delivery and school/teacher support are underpinned by rigorous quality management procedures, implemented in partnership with the schools.

Professional development

Teachers registered with the LTA are required, as a condition of their registration, to commit to a minimum level of training to ensure their professional currency. Training needs analyses are undertaken for all LTA teachers, from which individual learning and development plans are developed and delivered.

Web-based technology

The LTA uses on-line systems to deploy teachers, increase the efficiency of administrative processes and to deliver and record professional development.
